Program Services

Group/Classroom Sessions:
Classroom settings engage students in an environment of learning life applications necessary for personal growth that leads to more students completing academic studies, more students incorporating employable skills and improved work habits. This creates a marketable person ready for the workplace and better able to address life challenges.

  • Introduce the LFW program to participants

  • Provide opportunity and structured setting for positive networking
  • Explain how to get the most from the LFW curriculum

Mentorship:
Each program participant receives the service of a mentor to help keep them on schedule with assignments and moving toward completing their goals. It is proven that those who partner with a life coach or mentor fare better in school, at work and in their personal lives than those who don’t. LifeSkill mentors are in contact with mentees a minimum of twice weekly creating a climate of accountability, offering guidance and encouragement as each individual pursues their personnel course of study.

Conference Calls:
Participants call into a live conference which the instructor facilitates utilizing the LifeSkills curriculum. Questions and comments are received at the end of each call.

  • Requires no facility, transportation or childcare services
  • Details topics taken from the LifeSkills curriculum

LifeLine Meetings:
These monthly gatherings incorporate music, hands on activities, training and a chance to ‘meet the boss’ for those seeking employment. Participants are able to network in a fun learning environment.

Employment Services:
Students have the opportunity to participate in a program that prepares them for job interviews. We partner with staffing agencies in the CSRA. This increases opportunities for part-time, full-time and seasonal employment.

  • Provides instruction and coaching as students prepare for job interviews
  • Connects students with local staffing agencies to increase employment opportunities
  • Prepares program participants with Dress for Success components including workplace makeovers, proper attire and accessories
